We're Back!!!!

Alright! No more excuses!!!! We're gonna start blogging again! Sorry for the long break! Now that we are pregnant (a baby boy in April!) we thought we should make a comeback! To catch you up a bit, this is what we've been up to: For springbreak in March, we went with our good friends, The Perry's, to Greece and had the time of our lives!!!! It is a must for all you travelers! So beautiful!

We finished, i say we, Christian finished his first year at Harvard Law School in May and we headed back home to California for the summer where Christian had an internship with Morrison and Forestor. We had a great summer and to finish it off we found out that we were expecting our first little baby in August. We were and are so excited!!!!

In Septemeber we headed back to Cambridge to begin our second year at Law School. After two months of being down, I finally got the energy to return back to the workplace. I got a great job working at the Office of Career Students for undergraduates and graduate students. In October we found out that our little peanut was a boy. We are so thrilled! It is so cute to see Christian so excited!!!! He can't wait for his little peanut boy to arrive!

Our Fun-Filled Visit With The West Coasters!

We had a wonderful weekend with the visit of Mom, Erin, and baby Jaden. They arrived to our apartment promptly at 5:15 A.M. on Thursday and left the following Tuesday. We traveled around Boston, got majorly stocked up at Costco, and went to Newport, Rhode Island where we toured the Mansions of the rich and famous. It was absolutely beautiful and we couldnt have asked for a better weekend! It was a great to be with family again! Our first night out to dinner with the gang...

Sisters!

Erin and my mom couldn't resist taking this picture of a couple at Harvard.... Notice the turtleneck and the sweater tied around the shoulders... Just as they had envisioned Harvard Scholars to be...
How appropriate...
The view of Boston from the Charles River. We were on a WWII amphibian vehicle that travels on both land and sea. We went on the Duck Tours that took us around Boston to all of the historical sites.
The Breakers Mansion. The summer cottage home of the Vanderbilts. Absolutely beautiful and HUGE!!!!
All of us in front of The Breakers
Erin and Jaden's first time on the T.
He's dang cute and he knows it!...

I insisted that I carried the baby in the bjourn the whole trip... Didn't realize how truly weak I was! Such a big boy!

What are you guys doing to me?
So cute! I think we wore him out on this trip. He was an absolute dream baby!
Elmer Fudd?
Christian giving Jaden a bath in the kitchen sink.
Is he not the cutest baby ever?
Hanging out after a long day of shopping at the outlets....

Our New Hampshire/Maine Excursion

We stayed at Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle, New Hampshire. It was a beautiful hotel and was located on an island... Amazing view!
The Newlyweds! 3 Months Down!
Need a lift?
Too cool to get in the vehicle...
New Castle, New Hampshire.Fall is showing its colors!
We passed this park on our way to Maine and Christian made the executive decision that it could not be passed up and we took a rather sharp U-turn....
When we pulled up to the park Christian insisted after my inquiry if this was a gi-normous missel that indeed it was... My bad...
Let us just say it was TIGHT quarters!!!! We couldnt fathom how sailors could actually survive and live on one of these vessels! And this bunk that we are in is actually one of the roomer ones... Notice the pipes that are overhead...
Working on my secretarial skills even on the weekend... Work, work, work...
Fire in the hole! This is York, Maine Beach. It was so beautiful! If you can see the tiny black speck in the pic it is a surfer... There were actually tons of surfers. Guess their not all in California. Christian got a couple of new ideas in his head...
I know we have consistently used the word beautiful on this blog posting but seriously this was so beautiful!!!! The sun on the water... Made us think of home... The homes around this area had the most spectacular and serene views!
3 Months...

You Asked and We Delivered!

Well, here it is! It is official, as you can see! We are the proud owners of a Harvad Red 2003 Honda Civic. Christian could not resist the color of the car and had to seal the deal. So far it has been a great little car to get us around Cambridge. We hope to take it to further destinations soon!
Our little Harvard Red Mascot Car... The leaves are beginning to change in Cambridge! Fall is coming! We have continued to enjoy nice warm weather, but know its only time before the cold begins to creep in!

This picture is a shout out to Brooke! This is the Cambridge home of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner (movie stars). It is located two streets away from ours and is on a cul-de-sac with the Longfellow LDS Chapel. We have yet to see them, but are keeping our fingers crossed for a near future sighting...

Now dont freak out Mothers! We are only babysitting! I think this was the perfect baby for us to tend... This is baby Vincent and he lives across the street from us. His parents our in our ward and his dad is a 1L with Christian. This is only one of the two bottles that we gave to Baby Vincent in the 2 1/2 hours that we babysat. He has gas/colic so it was the only thing to keep him happy. And let us also add that he was fed prior to being delivered to us. So needless to say, we returned Baby Vincent back to his parents nice and full.
Even after the two bottles, Christian didnt quite think the kid was full yet. I told Christian that babies cant have big people food and he couldnt quite understand why...

This is The Charles River which is located right across the street from us. It is beautiful!
Everyday on the river there are either canoers, kayakers, or rowers (with their coaches in an opposite boat coaching them with the use of a bull horn!). So East Coast!

Our Very First Visitors!!!!

We had the BEST weekend! We received our very first visitors! Erik and Ryan came for the weekend to see us and to attend the BYU/Boston College game. What fans! We had a great time and it was wonderful to be with family again! We managed to squeeze all four of us into our little apartment with plenty of room to spare and to play games.

The four of us on our way to the BIG game getting ready to take the T (subway).

Eriks' first time on the subway! He was so excited and looks like a pro!
This is Ryan holding on for his life!
This is a picture of our view from the T. It is the charles river as we are crossing over from cambridge into boston.

After about forty five minutes on the T, we finally made it to the game. We had a great time! It was fun to see the Cougars play live again. Reminded us of old times... There was a huge section of Cougar fans which even included about twenty missionaries!!!! Eventhough we ended up losing, we couldnt have asked for a better game!

After the game we went to the NorthEnd of Boston which is also known as "little italy". This is us at the Fire Station. I couldnt pass up a better oppurtunity for a great pic. (the boys were good sports). We went and had an authentic italian dinner that was simply magnifico!

We returned home at about 8:30 and we all just crashed. It had been a long and exciting day! We were sad to see Erik and Ryan leave this morning. We had a great time with them and can't wait for our next visitors!

The Outdoors

This is a picture of the Charles river that is located right across the street from us. (Sorry for all the cars in the pic.). We will get a better pic for you later...

Shaler Lane. A very peaceful and beautiful street with trees making a nice archway. Everyone is super nice! We had a neighborhood bbq yesterday for Labor Day and met a lot of new people. We had a great time!

This is the entrance to our group of four apartments. We are located on the 2nd floor right apartment. There is a buzzer to let people in this door so that they can come up to our apartment. So eastcoast!

We are continuing to enjoy our little Cambridge adventure! Christian started his first day of Law School today and Katie starts a secretarial job tomorrow! Summer is over and back to work we come!...

Some finishing touches!

Here it is, our final wall is finished. A nice desk for Christian to study on, and a nice table for Katie to serve her well prepared meals and delicious snacks and cookies. Stay tuned . . . tommorrow we will take the tour to the outdoor premises. Keep the comments coming, and the packages. All our love, your poverty stricken alum.
