Longfellow Park Chapel
On our way home from the Lake all of the roads that we needed to take to get to our street were blocked off. We had to take a detour and as we got closer to home fire trucks were everywhere with their hoses out. As we drove past a street we saw what all the commotion was about. The chapel down the street from our house was on fire. :( We actually don't attend this building, even though it is like two blocks from our house, the single wards go there, but we would have been there that day since they were having stake conference. Most of our ward activities were held at this building.
** So I realize that these are not the best pictures... they're from my phone **

Everyone was lined up in a line passing books that the firefighters were able to save and were brought out on stretchers. They were passing the books to the Quaker Church that is just across the cul-de-sac.
The steeple is no longer on the church. It was taken down two days later. And I must add that JENNIFER GARNER and BEN AFFLECK live at the end of this cul-de-sac that the church is on and Jennifer was out watching the fire with her daughter. Of course she came out right after we left! :( My friend even got a picture with her!

Lake Winnipesaukee
We decided to have one last get together with friends before everyone started off on their separate ways. We rented a lake house on Lake Winnispesaukee. The views were breathtaking -- wish we actually took pictures to prove it. :)

Dylan was exhausted after a long weekend. :)We are so grateful for the friends we have made out here! They have made our Harvard experience amazing! We're going to miss each of them!

Beach Day! :)
Last week we had some amazing weather. On Saturday we decided to go try out the beach on the East Coast. It was a beautiful day! Dylan absolutely loved it! ~ He was nervous of the sand at first but it didn't take him long to be covered all over in it :)
We had such a great time on Saturday that we decided to go again with friends on Tuesday. It ended up being 93 degrees! I think I know what we'll be doing all summer...
